WHat is himalayan meditation?
Samarpan Meditation is a unique practice, where, simply through a pure wish one can experience the awakening of the divine energy that exists within each one of us. This awakened energy connects with the Divine, Universal Consciousness which allows us to experience our own ‘innate divinity’ which in turn propels a process of inner transformation within one’s Self.

Samarpan Meditation is a universal meditation technique to connect with the Universal Consciousness, it is beyond the realm of religion and is practiced all over the world. Samarpan means complete surrender (of negativity, of the ego and of thoughts of the past and the future) so that we may experience connection with the divine within our own self.

When we completely surrender everything, forget our physical existence as a body and identify ourselves as a pure and divine soul, our mind becomes still, there are no thoughts and we reach a state of ‘Thoughtlessness’ which is the stepping stone to our ‘Inward Journey’.

How did it come about?
Samarpan Meditation is an ancient yet simple meditation technique developed by the Himalayan Sages over the last 800 years for the benefit of the common man living in society. This powerful technique was brought into society, in the year 1994, by His Holiness Shivkrupanand Swami, a divine Himalayan Master, who continues to teach this powerful technique all over the world.
What are the core values associated with this technique of meditation?
Who is it for? who is eligible to practice this technique?
Anyone with a genuine interest in spirituality, peace, inner happiness and personal growth can practice this technique.

There are no restrictions of age, belief, religion, diet, background or lifestyle. It is a path for direct, individual experience of the Divine, Universal Energy.
how is it different from other meditation techniques?
In this meditation technique there is nothing for you to do. There is no focusing on your breath, no visualization, nothing at all. Once you say the meditation mantras, you simply surrender yourself to the universe and sit at ease and witness to everything that is going on. The method is connected with living energies, even if you don't feel anything, the energies are definitely doing their work, purifying your inner system. Slowly, but surely, you will experience a difference.

For those interested in chakras and inner energies, this method of meditation allows for progress up to the Sahastrar or Crown chakra, the 7th primary chakra located at the top of the head. Most other methods of meditation only enable progress upto the 6th or Agya chakra.

Beyond that however, we recommend that you do not compare different meditation techniques or spiritual disciplines as they are all good in their own way. What is important is to question your soul, and ask it: Is this method of meditation right for me? Will it allow me to progress spiritually? And if your soul says: "Yes!" -- then you should definitely heed its advice and follow this method. But if your soul points you elsewhere or you feel like some other technique or discipline might be more suitable for you, then you should follow that instead. There is no pressure to come onto this path. It is always open to those who want to join or are seeking a genuine path for soul realization.
Can i practice himalayan meditation alongside my religion? does it clash with my religious beliefs?
This a meditative practice. It is not linked to any religion nor does it have any religious founding. You are free to continue with all of your religious practices, whatever they might be. There is no conflict. All you need to do is to add 30 minutes of meditation everyday.
Does the practice include group/collective meditation? Why is collective meditation necessary?
As you meditate, an aspect of your soul/ subconscious powers called the "chitta" gets purified. As it gets purified, it becomes fast, but having speed without control is a recipe for disaster. The chitta absorbs energy from wherever your attention is. If you do not control it and it goes towards negative topics or things or people, you will absorb negative energy and this will ruin your meditative practice and cause problems in your life. Thus, it is necessary to have good brakes on a fast car. So, as you meditate alone at home, your 'chitta' becomes fast; but as you meditate in collectivity with other people, it becomes 'controlled'. So in this way, by including collective meditation, you are able to get a chitta that is pure and also in control.
What do I need to practice this meditation everyday?
Nothing much:
  1. Just a quiet space where you can remain undisturbed with no one immediately around you for 20-25 feet.
  2. 30 minutes of time

Benefits of Himalayan Meditation

Regular meditation brings about complete balance in one’s life thus facilitating growth of a person at the physical, mental, social and spiritual levels.

Spiritual Benefits
  • Meditating regularly fosters feelings of:
    • Inner peace
    • Inner happiness
    • Satisfaction
    • Acceptance
    • Gratitude

Physical Benefits
  • Improvement in your health and immunity

Mental Benefits
  • Relief from anxiety
  • Relief from stress
  • Relief from depression and feelings of sadness
  • Mental resilience

Performance Benefits
  • Improved focus and as a result, ability to do tasks much faster

Karmic benefits:
  • With regular meditation, you can reach a spiritual state where it is no longer possible for any bad (negative karmic) actions to be committed through you and only good deeds will happen through your medium.
Even with all of this being said, it is important that you come to the path of meditation without expectations or desires. You should come only with the pure wish to be closer to the proximity of your inner divinity in the form of your soul. You may or may not receive any other benefits, even those listed above, and even if you don't get anything immediately, you should still be happy to meditate. If you go close to the soul, many benefits follow automatically. However, if you come here for the benefits only, then you may find that after a while meditation gets dropped from your life and you are unable to remain on this path.

So come without expectations. Come without desires. Come for the soul.

the Meditation center: A consecrated space to experince the soul

Picture
Our Singapore Meditation is not an ordinary place. It is a place where immensely powerful spiritual energies reside. These holy energies, which guide meditation practitioners on their spiritual journey and allow them to experience proximity to the soul, have been established here by His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami, a living Himalayan Master who has come back form the depths of the spiritual enclave of the Himalayas to teach meditation to the ordinary person in search for spiritual progress and peace.

Here at our center, you too can experience inner peace and relief and obtain a path for genuine spiritual progress with the guidance of these divine energies. In fact, this is one of the few places in the world where you can obtain the seed of self-realization (realization of the soul) just by praying for it in the proximity of these energies. With regular practice, the seed will then grow into a tree of self-realization and spiritual progress.

These holy spiritual energies have been consecrated into a Mangal Murti, or an auspicious idol. But make no mistake, the idol is only here as a visual medium to help you connect with the energies as most beginner meditators are not able to connect directly without some aid. You are not being asked to worship an idol or to bow down to it. You simply need to see it as a medium to help you connect with higher divine energies. ALl you need to do is to sit down in the presence of these energies and surrender yourself to your own soul within you, and let everything else happen by itself.
